Life Story & Divine Acts of Samartha Sathguru Datavaduta Sri Guravayya Swami- Chapter-8

                                                             SACRED FIRE
As Per Vedas, it is customary for Hindus to give first and foremost place for performing sacred fire. “Rigveda” (One of Four Vedas) the first of four ‘vedas’, starts with chants related to fire “Agni”.  It is our custom to pray God who provides everything for all human beings. We pray and offer everything of God through ‘Agni’, on all occasions to provide safety and security to all mankind. God ‘Agni’ is like a face or mouth for all Gods. That is the main reason why our ancestors instructed us to perform scared fire in all auspicious occasions and also in day to day life, for the welfare of all human beings and society. We do not find this custom in any other cultures in the world.
We find the performance of scared fire in the premises of Samartha Sathguru Sri Guravayya Swami, a great disciple of Bhgavan Sri Venkayya Swami, for providing welfare for devotees and society. Performance of scared fire is known as Dhuni. Sri Shirdi Saibaba also performed the Dhuni. Let us all together pray and worship such great Saint for giving us devotion, dedication and welfare for our society.
Experience of Devotees:
Sri G. SAIBABA, AC Nagar, Nellore:
One day the flames of Dhuni in the Ashram became very furious and rose to a height of four feet and heart shot up to a high degree. Disciples and devotees moved far away from it. But Sri Guravayya Swami sat very close to Dhuni and asked to boil water for taking bath. I kept water in a vessel on the Dhuni. Sri Swami asked me to take out very hot and boiled water. Sri Swami took bath with very hot water. When I added cold water to it, still it was very hot. Sri Swami told me not to worry about hot water. Sometimes even when it rains heavily, the scared fire would not be put-off. Thus so many miracles we can witness in the premises of Samartha Sathguru Sri Guravayya Swami.

Puligundam venkata krishan Rao, Ak Nagar, Nellore:
In the month of February 1994, I suffered from hearing related problems and deafness. I got checked up in Rami Reddy hospital. After examining and conducting medical tests, doctor confirmed that I lost my hearing capability and could not be cured by medicines. In fact, I was left to my destiny. I was really very much afraid of this problem and rushed to Golagamudi. I prayed and explained my problem to Samartha Sathguru Sri Guravayya Swami. Sri Swami blessed told me that I would be all right soon. I became very normal and re-gained my hearing capability within three days without using any medicines. Thus Sri Swami was very kind enough to me and re-stored my health to normalcy.
Venkateswarlu:
The celebration of “Aradhana” of Bhagavan Sri Venkayya Swami, was planned to be performed. Since, the day before the occasion, the flames of Dhuni rose very high. Sri Swami added more and more fuel of wood to the fire and told that the flames should never go down. The flames of Dhuni generated a lot of illumination and heat. In the meantime it become very cloudy all of a sudden and it started raining heavily. All devotees ran hear and there  to find shelters. Devotees prayed and requested Sri Swami to stay under a shelter. Sri Swami refused to take any shelter and told them “How can I stay under a shelter when so many people are drenching in the rain”.  Sri Swami in fact, continued to maintain the flames of Dhuni by adding fuel. Sri Swami was looking at the clouds and sky and adding wood fuel to scared fire.  The more rain fell, the more flames of scared fire rose.  Eventhough it was down pouring, the scared fire did not lit-off and on the other hand, the flames of Dhuni rose very high. Everybody praised and worship Sri Swami for the miracle, they witnessed on the auspicious occasion of Aradhana of Bhagavan Sri Venkayya Swami.

Aum Sri Dattavadhuta Samartha Sathguru Sri Guravayya Swami Namah
