COMPASSIONATE
In our
great indian culture, the word Compassion or kindness occupied very important
and significant place. Since it is the characteristic of the Lord or God. In
the hearts of people having the nature of kindness, the God always resides and
presents himself. We all try to understand the true meaning of kindness and
cultivate the nature and shall try to implement in our daily life. We can find
such a kind in Golagamudi, popularly known as ‘East Dwaraka’. Let us all
together pray and worship, Sri Swami to shower his kindness on us and bless us
to cultivate the nature of kindness.
One
day, Sri Swami was heading to the forest. On the way he found a crane lying
dead on the ground, bleeding on its neck. Some body shot it. Sri Swami was very
kind and took it in his hand and sooth it gently. The crane got back its life
and had flown into the air.
There
used to be four dogs, which always go round Sri Swami. People belive that it
was customary in “Sri Datta Sampradayam”, to have dogs. Once one of the dogs
suffered from severe skin disease. Sri Swami was very kind, and cured the
disease of the dog by his blessings. There used to come a female dog to Sri
Swami most of the times. Sri Swami used to tell that he had given it what ever
was needed. When devotees enquired about it, Sri Swami told that he has blessed
it to have, human life in the next birth cycle.
